New to the market for the first time in history! The Thayer Ranch was homesteaded in the late 1880’s by the Thayer family. This historic property has been in the family ever since.
This 500 acre ranch is perfectly blocked up with astounding panoramic views. Settled between the Stillwater River and the west fork of the East Rosebud River, the central location of this ranch is prime for the outdoor enthusiast. Just off the Grove Creek Road and a few miles outside of Red Lodge and the Beartooth Highway – the All-American Road leading to the North East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

THAYER RANCH: Located 67 miles west of Billings, Montana on the north side of the Yellowstone River approximately 23 miles west of Columbus. The ideal location of the Thayer Ranch provides easy accessibility to Billings, Bozeman or Red Lodge.
COLUMBUS: Just 23 miles east, Columbus is located where the Stillwater River enters the Yellowstone. Columbus is the Stillwater County seat and serves as the hub for the surrounding communities. RED LODGE: 34 Miles west of the ranch, a resort and ranching community with a colorful coal-mining past that looks onto 28 peaks rising over 12,000 feet. The 59-mile Beartooth Scenic Drive has dramatic switchbacks overlooking snow-capped peaks, glaciers, alpine lakes and plateaus. BILLINGS: Located 67 miles to the east via MT-78 and I-90, Billings is the center of Montana’s livestock industry and considered the Regions trade port. The International Airport in Billings is presently serviced by 5 major airlines. Billings offers two of the finest medical facilities in the Northwest. Shopping, fine dining, theater and the arts makes Billings the “True Hub” of Montana.
